The '70s and '80s was an awesome era to be a young adult in America, and some of my best memories were born from cruising J & L streets in downtown Sacramento on Saturday nights in the summertime. Our sole purpose was to have fun and of course "pick up girls". That however required some necessary elements to accomplish in the '80s. #1 you needed cool car. #2 You needed a full tank of gas. #3 You needed few good crazy, but personable good buddies. #4 You needed a loud stereo system in your car. And most importantly #5, You needed a good supply of "Glam Band" tapes blaring on your car stereo.
"Glam Bands" ( or what I used to call "posers") were quite popular in the late '70s up until nearly the end of the '80s, particularly with young women. And in 1986 Cinderella joined the "Glam Band" popularity bandwagon with their very successful smash power ballad "Nobody's Fool" from their Night Songs album. Then followed up with another successful power ballad "Don't Know What You Got ('Til It's Gone)" in 1988 from their Long Cold Winter Album.
Nobody's Fool, is a very simple ballad about a girl that uses her rock star boyfriend for his money and popularity, he finally gets a belly full of it and dumps her. Pretty simple, but nevertheless reached #13 in the billboard hot 100 chart.
I didn't spend a lot of time on creating this video, (it only has 2 verses). I simple took the original footage and cut the hell out of it and added my own "flavor" to it. The biggest challenge here was to sync the song to the video I built, which is much harder than you may think, but I think I pulled it off pretty well. Hope you all enjoy it
