"Don't Stop Believin') was not Journey's biggest hit (that would be "Open Arms"), but it is by far their most famous one, this track has a unique structure, which helps it stick in your mind.
"Don't Stop Believin' is a classic rock power ballad "ANTHEM", It contains one of the best opening keyboard riffs in classic rock, creeping from near serenity to an arena rock extravagance in under four minutes. Originally released in October 1981, the second single from the famed "Escape" album with Steve Perry as Lead singer for Journey, "Don't Stop Believin'" reached the number nine spot in November of 1981. The song was rereleased in June 2008 on the "Revelation" album with current lead singer Arnel Pineda. "Don't Stop Believin" is one of the top-selling catalog tracks in digital history.
The version I used in this video is from Journey's 2009 two-disc set "Live In Manila" featuring the current band member line up, Arnel Pineda, Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory, and Deen Castronovo, since the Escape version of the song has been done to death.
I created this video in a very unique way, building the first half of the video from scratch as a concept video, visually relaying the lyrics, then switched to live footage of the Manila concert at the chorus of the song, for a now 7 minute version. Hope you all enjoy it. One thing's for certain; you won't find another "Don't Stop Believin'" video quite like it.
